......let's get started

Today, is a great day for the Fausz Family!

This morning I mailed in our initial paperwork for starting the adoption process. We have taken many steps to get to this first step. We prayed and talked and prayed and talked and prayed some more about how God would have us grow our family. We both really want to have more children - but don't really want to 'have' more children. At first I was not completely on board with adopting (kinda thought, gosh we are able to reproduce so why would we go the most expensive and painful, emotionally anyway, route?) but after much prayer and time with God realize that He does want us to grow this family by ministering to someone besides the Fausz's! So, with that being said we are on the adoption route. We have taken the first baby step of sending in our initial application and now we wait. We wait for the agency to accept or deny our interest........Step two - fill out more paperwork and have the home study completed. The home study can take up to 90 days.

Garrett is already talking about the new baby like she/he has arrived....God is amazing in His ways, opening doors that we didn't even know were in existence.

We are praying for the adoption process to go smoothly, for the birth parents and child that we know God has already chosen for our family and for patience with this process.

We welcome all prayer that is to be offered and thank you in advance.

speeding tickets...

Okay, seriously two speeding tickets in two months! In my 18 years of driving I have had ZERO speeding tickets, that is until 2009! I have gotten two tickets this year, both on my way from MOPS to pick Garrett up from school. I think God is trying to teach me a lesson about something. It has to be a bigger lesson than 'slow down', doesn't it? Or does it? Maybe he is trying to tell me to slow down, or maybe he's trying to get me to pay attention to my surroundings, or maybe it is something even less obvious, IDK. Both tickets were from police officers going in the opposite direction. I have no idea what he's trying to get thru this thick skull of mine but I don't think I can take another ticket so I hope that I can figure it out soon.......

adding photos to this blog....

Why the heck can't I get my photos to be where I want them to be on my blog? Is there a trick or am I just looking for it to be easier than it actually is?
